CHOOSING THE PERFECT HAIRSTYLE FOR YOUR SPECIAL OCCASION
Finding a hairstylist for your special day is a very personal thing. For a girl, her prom night and wedding day are certainly important events in her life that will be forever captured by photos. Having the best hair and make up will make the difference in liking the photos or loving them.
Here are a few guidelines for achieving the best results:
– Collect Picture
Browse the Internet on sites such as
Pinterest and find styles that you love
and create an image board to bring to
bring to your appointment. Look for
hairstyles that have matching hair
color to yours. The same style created on different colored hair will not appear the same. For example, blonde hair shows texture, definition and reflection of light differently than dark hair.
– Save the Date
A formal event is a busy and exciting time. Weekend appointments book up fast so to ensure both the time and the date you need for your day, it is extremely important to call the salon in advance to schedule your appointment and a trial if needed. Brides should typically call three to six months in advance for you and your bridal party. Anyone else should call two to three months in advance.
– Bridal Trial
Bring pictures of the styles you love, a picture of your dress and any head piece, veil or hair jewelry you plan to wear to the salon for a consultation and a practice updo/style. Seeing the finished look before your wedding day is crucial for your peace of mind. The less to worry about, the better. If you don’t love the look, ask me to try something else. This is YOUR time and YOUR day and I am committed to make certain that you love your hair, so communication is , your wedding party will be receiving services as well. It is important they love their hair. If possible, it may be fun to bring a few with you for your trial, so they can discuss hair options before the date as well.
– Take Pictures
Taking pictures of the final look is a great way to have a visual reference for the day of the wedding. This will be helpful for both of us to achieve the same look again for the big day.
– On Site Bridal Hair Styling
Not only do I style hair in the salon, I also will travel to another location if needed, like the venue or the hotel you are using to get ready in. Some brides are not from the area or their venue is not convenient to the salon so having the option of a having a hair stylist come to you solves that problem and reduces stress. My only goal is to help make your wedding day more beautiful and happy.
